The 1st and 2nd space of Tang Contemporary Art Beijing
Tang Contemporary Art is proud to announce the opening of Li Qing’s solo exhibition “Lighthouse and Cradle”, held in both of the gallery’s Beijing spaces on September 12. Curated by Cui Cancan, the exhibition will showcase Li Qing’s important series “Window”, “Spot the Difference”, “Images of Mutual Undoing and Unity”, “Hangzhou House”, as well as his most recent work from 2021.

Featuring Ai Weiwei, Huang Yong Ping, Wang Guangyi, Xu Bing, Yue Minjun,Li Qing and more, Legacies of Exchange: Chinese Contemporary Art from the Yuz Foundation brings together works of Chinese contemporary art created in response to international trade, political conflict, and global artistic exchange.

Here, “beta” alludes to the systemic limitations placed on the exhibition — “stuck in the system” so to speak. Perhaps, only through the more common philosophical question presented by Heidegger’s “ready to hand,” can we focus on the issue of “new general intellect” in art.

TANK Shanghai
"Green Exchange" invites participants to exchange their facial photos with a series of single images created by the artist in the exhibition site. The condition for the exchange is that the participant grants the artist the right to use his or her portrait in future works.
Sunke Villa
The exhibition “Meditations on the Urban Spectacle” co-organized by Shanghai Minsheng Art Foundation, Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum, and Shanghai Vanke, is on show in Sunke Villa, a preserved historic building in Shanghai.
Spinnerei Galleries at Werkschau
On April 24th the soft opening for the group project “Chow Chow”, which was jointly curated by 14 galleries will take place at Spinnerei in Leipzig. For this rare event each gallery presents various amazing artists. Galerie Eigen+Art will contribute and show works by Li Qing.
