It addresses the same question faced by all artists of the new generation – how to deal with the frictions and synergies taking place between the established social experience and the deepening effects of globalization. While Li Qing’s works address the above issues, he has not given up on pondering the internal logic of art history, especially the continued pursuit of the essence of painting.

Now in its fourth edition, Prague Biennale relaunches itself to include the first edition of Prague Biennale Photo. From painting and photography to performance and installation art, this year's large-format edition tracks the most significant aspects of Central European art and beyond. It includes a foreword by the biennial directors, essays by curators and information about the artists included in each section.
Seoul Museum of Art
'City_net Asia' is an exhibition organized by the Seoul Museum of Art showcasing the contemporary social/cultural identities of four Asian cities. In its fourth incarnation, 'City_net Asia 2009' reflects the concerns of young artists from Seoul, Beijing, Istanbul and Tokyo. Curators from the Mori Art Museum (Tokyo), Today Art Museum (Beijing) and Istanbul Modern worked with the Seoul Art Museum to make the exhibition possible.
